  • Christian Garcia missed round 2 in Spain because he replaced Force India's Azrul Zafri, from GP4 OC, who was injured during GP4 OC's Bahrain race. His replacement for the Spanish race was Karpo Hautala, who competed for Coloni last season.
  • Niko Tauber left Durango after Barcelona. His replacement for the rest of the season was the Italian rookie, Luca Farina.
  • Spencer Hodgson left FMS after Nürburgring. His replacement for the rest of the season was the Italian rookie, Franco Gamba.
  • Since Armar Cah left Trident to replace Roland Mótyán in the GP4 OC's Toro Rosso (Mótyán would go on to replace the retiring Azrul Zafri), his seat in the GP2 team was vacant. His replacement for the rest of the season was British rookie, Robert Hunter.
  • Sasha Banks will miss rounds 9, 10 and 11 (Singapore, Japan and Abu Dhabi) because she'll replace Toyota's Paige Knight, from GP4 OC, who suffered a broken hand while testing for IndyCar. Banks' replacement is Karpo Hautala, who previously competed in Spain, in this season.
  • Christian Garcia qualified for the Brazilian GP but he didn't participate in the race.
