The 2012 GP4 Offline Championship was the seventh official season of the championship. It was contested on Grand Prix 4 using the F1 2012 mod. The league was hosted by Jyri Määttä a.k.a jyrr123.

Viggo Holst won the world championship in the final race at Brazil, becoming the first Dane to win the championship and gave McLaren their 4th drivers title. His team, McLaren would go on to win their 3rd constructors title.

  • Evan Byrne missed the British Grand Prix due to personal reasons and was replaced by test driver and a returning Will Neller who competed in GP4 OC for the first time since 2010. Evan returned at Germany but due to more personal reasons, he retired with immediate effect. Due to Will Neller competing for the championship in GP4 OC DTM, he was replaced from Hungary onwards by a returning Jyri Määtta who competed for the first time since Monaco 2008.
  • Kiroshima di Rossa missed the German Grand Prix after sustaining an injury in a crash at the British Grand Prix. He was replaced by former Caterham driver and Force India test driver, Michael Mocho.
  • Adam Wolf missed the Brazilian Grand Prix after sustaining an injury in a crash at the United States Grand Prix. He was replaced by the team's test driver and former Sauber driver, Lucas Levi.

  • The German GP returned to Hockenheim in 2012 in an agreement with the Nurburgring to alternate the races.
  • The Bahrain GP returned to the GP4OC calendar in 2012 after its cancellation in 2011.
  • The Circuit of the Americas circuit in Austin, Texas will be a new venue on the calendar playing host to the United States Grand Prix. It will be the first United States Grand Prix since 2007 when it took place at Indianapolis.
  • With a total of 20 races, 2012 will see the longest calendar in the league's history so far.
  • The Brazilian Grand Prix was moved to a Thursday due to commitments on Tuesday for league owner jyrr123.
